A cold numbing spray or an injection of local anaesthetic into the skin to numb the area will be used to so that inserting the Nexplanon will not hurt. You will not have any stitches and it will only take a few minutes. The area may be a bit sore and bruised but it will have a dressing on it to help keep it clean and dry. Try not to knock it. After a few days you can remove the dressing and once healed you really should not be aware that it is there. You should be able to do all the things you would normally do with your arm. What Are Its Side Effects

The most common side effects of nexplanon are the ones that affect your menstrual cycle. Nexplanon can cause a change in the pattern of your menstrual bleeding during your period.

Menstrual bleeding patterns may suddenly occur more frequently, with longer or shorter bleeding experienced during your period or no bleeding occurring at all. The time between your menstrual periods may also vary and change, and you may experience some spotting in between periods as well.

For some women, menstrual bleeding might stop altogether. This is also nothing to be concerned about. In this case, the ovaries are resting and abstaining from releasing an egg every month, keeping the uterine lining thin.

There are other common side effects related to your menstrual cycle that you might experience if you use nexplanon. Apart from the changes in menstrual bleeding patterns, nexplanon can cause mood swings, weight gain, headaches, acne, and depression. Nexplanon can, in effect, amplify symptoms of PMS and your menstrual period by making their symptoms worse. You may also experience stomach pain, breast tenderness, and vaginal itching or discharge.

While menstrual changes are relatively common among women using the hormonal implants, every womans body operates differently and its also perfectly normal to not experience any irregular changes either. Every woman is different, and it all depends on each individual.

How Long After Botox Can You Get Pregnant

How long will it takes to get pregnant after birth control?? Nexplanon and implanon.

There is a big question in the medical community about the safety of Botox during pregnancy. Although research suggests it is safe, most experts recommend waiting until after pregnancy to use the cosmetic treatment. In a recent study in the Journal of Headache and Pain, 45 women who received Botox during pregnancy delivered healthy babies. Botox used for cosmetic purposes does not circulate throughout the body, so the injections shouldnt reach the developing baby. Nevertheless, high dosages of Botox could cause birth defects, miscarriage, and low birth weight.

Although the FDA hasnt definitively determined whether Botox will harm the developing fetus, there are many factors that can affect the procedure. For example, hyperpigmentation and varicose veins are common side effects of the treatment, but many of these problems usually resolve within three to six months after conception. However, there are several complications associated with reversing the procedure while youre pregnant. Because of the risk involved, it is important to speak with your healthcare provider if you have any questions.
