i received the 5yr mirena with the hormone after my second pregnancy in 2006. it should have been removed in 2011 but i have not had medical insurance in last 2 years to be able to afford another IUD. now i am concerned of the affects and looking for information that can help me take care of this before its a serious emergency.

I actually have TWO IUDs in place. I have 2 cervix and two uteruses. Ive had no period at all for 15 years. This set has been in for going on 8 years. No issues at all except I had immediate weight gain, like 10 pounds overnight.

Just went today for removal after having a Mirena in 6 years, doctor found strings no problem but pulled & pulled but could not get out!!! Doctor said my cervix has grown partially over!
