How To Know Your Pregnant Without Symptoms

Pregnancy Testing For An Early And Accurate Result

HOW TO TELL IF YOURE PREGNANT WITHOUT A TEST! | EARLY PREGNANCY SYMPTOMS

A pregnancy test measures levels of human chorionic gonadotropin in your blood or urine. hCG starts to be produced after implantation in the walls of the uterus.

Implantation can occur as early as 7 days after conception.

The placenta begins to develop and produces increasing amounts of hCG.

There are no dierences between ethnicities with regard to urinary hCG increase. However, levels of serum hCG in early pregnancy following assisted reproductive technology have been seen to be slightly lower in women with a higher pre-pregnancy body mass index.

If you need early detection of pregnancy, a blood pregnancy test done at the doctors oice can detect low levels of hCG and measure the actual quantity of hCG in the body.

A blood pregnancy test can be accurate six to eight days after ovulation. A urine test is usually accurate about 14-21 days after ovulation.

You Haven’t Missed Your Period Yet

If you haven’t missed your period yet, mark down the day that you think you may have conceived on, and wait at least six days before the day you are expecting your period to take a First Response pregnancy test. If you think you might be pregnant and do not want to be pregnant, there are emergency contraception methods that are effective within five days of having unprotected sex, so you may want to explore those options.

You can also choose to take a pregnancy test after you miss your period. In fact, some recommend not taking one until one week after your missed period in order to ensure accurate results.3 Be sure to follow the instructions of the brand of pregnancy test that you buy.

Food Aversions And Sensitivity To Smell

Sensitivity to certain smells is a common symptom for pregnant women. You may also find that your tastes have changed for certain types of food.

Any of the above signs can mean youre pregnant, but there are women who conceive and experience none of them. Likewise, you can experience all ten and not be pregnant. The best way to confirm pregnancy is to schedule an appointment with a provider, preferably your gynecologist.

If you notice a few of the early pregnancy symptoms above and think you may be pregnant, wait one or two days after your missed period and take a pregnancy test. If the test is negative, wait a few more days and take another, just in case the first was a false negative. If the test is positive, schedule an appointment with your OB/GYN.

A Personal Note: What My Pregnancy Symptoms Were Like

Some of these pregnancy symptoms are hard to quantify, especially when it’s something like “feeling different.” But, you may well feel different somehow even though you can’t explain how you feel different.

In my first pregnancy, the earliest signs for me were the enlarged nipples and breasts and breast tenderness as well as feeling dizzy, sick and extremely tired. And yesâI did feel different!

During my second pregnancy, the most noticeable early symptoms were a metallic taste in my mouth, an aversion to drinking tea and a heightened sense of smell. This last symptom got worse and worse throughout my pregnancy and it became difficult to manage all of the smells that made me either feel sick or actually be sick. Smells I couldn’t handle were anything soapy such as body wash and deodorant, perfume, aftershave and alcohol. There were a lot more, but these were the main ones.

For my third pregnancy, me, my husband and our daughter were away traveling around Europe in our motorhome. We’d stopped to work on a farm for a few weeks, when I started to feel incredibly tired.

I couldn’t work out why I felt that way after a good night’s sleep and I had no other symptoms of illness, so I tried drinking extra coffee to keep me awake . Then a few days later I started feeling really unwell to the point I spent around four days laying down resting, but no real symptoms as suchâI might describe them like the flu without the sore throat and cough.

Changes In Fetal Movement

Pin on All things Pregnancy

While some symptoms tend to decrease as pregnancy progresses, the movement of your baby should not lessen. There will be days when your baby is quieter, but if movement suddenly stops, or shifts from a lot of activity to a little, it could be a sign of a problem.

Most people start to feel their baby moving in the womb at around 16 weeks of pregnancy. Keep in mind that when you feel fetal movement for the first time can depend on whether you’ve been pregnant before .

Let your doctor or midwife know if you haven’t felt any fetal movement at all by 20 weeks.

Later in your pregnancy , daily fetal kick counts will be advised. Take note if your baby isn’t moving as much or the movements seem diminished. While it does not always indicate a problem, it is something you should tell your doctor or midwife.

In some cases, decreased or diminished fetal movement has a clear explanation and is not a cause for concern. It may be that the fetus is on a “sleep cycle” that accounts for intermittent bouts of less movement. Or your placenta may be on the front uterine wall , which can cushion the sensation of fetal movement.

While it’s less common, fetal movement can also decrease when the umbilical cord is being compressed. One example is when the cord becomes wrapped around the neck of the fetus . Your doctor or midwife can check the umbilical cord using fetal monitoring or an ultrasound.

Your Chihuahuas pregnancy is progressing very quickly now, as the growing fetuses start to actually look more like puppies. Heres what you can expect:

  • After 50 days: vets can do an x-ray to tell how many puppies are coming.
  • After 58 days: your pregnant Chihuahua will start her nesting behavior.

Changes in your Chihuahuas appearance and behavior wont be as subtle now, with some very obvious signs of pregnancy including:

  • She will noticeably be eating more .
  • She will show obvious weight again, perhaps as much as 50%.
  • She will be urinating more regularly.
  • She will have a clear vaginal discharge.
  • Her stomach will get firmer by day 50.
  • You might see the puppies moving under her belly skin by day 50.

If you think you might be pregnant, it’s important to take a home pregnancy test and schedule an appointment with your doctor to find out — this is the only way you’ll know for sure. Before you do that, though, you may be able to notice several telltale signs. Some of these signs begin within a week of conception, so you may be able to tell fairly early on when you get pregnant. Every woman’s body is different, and you may experience all, none, or only some of these symptoms. See your doctor to determine whether you’re pregnant.

You Missed Your Period

You should take a pregnancy test. If it’s positive, you’re pregnant. If it’s negative, wait a few more days and retest. If it’s another negative, you’re still not experiencing any symptoms of pregnancy, and you’re sure you’re taking the test correctly, then you’re probably not pregnant and you’ve missed your period for another reason.

Checking For Hormonal Changes

HOW TO TELL IF YOU’RE PREGNANT WITHOUT A TEST! | EARLY PREGNANCY SYMPTOMS
  • 1Pay attention to your menstrual cycle. Pregnant women do not menstruate during the course of their pregnancies. Nonetheless, you can miss periods for other reasons, such as stress or even overexercising.XTrustworthy SourceCleveland ClinicEducational website from one of the world’s leading hospitalsGo to source
  • If you don’t already, get in the habit of keeping track of your menstrual cycle so that you can better detect a late or missed period.
  • All you need to do is mark when you start and end your period on the calendar. That way, you can see how your cycle generally runs. There are also mobile apps that make it convenient and easy to track your cycle.
  • 2Feel for swollen or painful breasts. Because of the hormones released in early pregnancy, you may notice some changes in your breasts. They may swell slightly or be somewhat sore to the touch.XTrustworthy SourceMayo ClinicEducational website from one of the world’s leading hospitalsGo to source

    What Others Say:

I dont think you should worry if you dont have any symptoms. I didnt have pregnancy symptoms until I was six weeks along and my nausea kicked in. Other than the nausea, I didnt have any other signs until several weeks after my second trimester started. Based on my experience, I think you shouldnt worry as long as your nurse or doctor says you have a healthy pregnancy. When your symptoms do start, youll wish they hadnt.

I’m not surprised by someone being pregnant but no symptoms are felt. When I was pregnant with my 7 year old, I didnt have any pregnancy symptoms until 8 weeks into the pregnancy. This time I didnt have any until nearly 10 weeks. In fact, I didnt miss a period and the doctor had to give me an ultrasound to check for a miscarriage. He was shocked to realize there was a healthy, kicking baby in my uterus! Dont be surprised if it happens to you.

I know exactly how you feel. With this pregnancy my symptoms would be there and then they wouldnt. My breasts would be sore one day then normal a few days later. I didnt have nausea either until 8 weeks. One day I even went back to my normal bathroom schedule. That really worried me but now I am almost 15 weeks pregnant. The one thing that has helped me is knowing that if you have a miscarriage, you will know from the cramping and bleeding. If you dont have many symptoms of pregnancy, that doesnt mean that you arent pregnancy anymore. It just means you are lucky.

    Can You Use Non

Non-medical ways have been used to determine pregnancy, long before pregnancy test kits were not in use. However, they may not be accurate and do not have any scientific backing.

The signs and symptoms we talked about earlier may not be related to pregnancy alone. They may also indicate the start of your menstrual period or may suggest other medical conditions. An easy and effective way to know if you are pregnant is to take a home-based pregnancy test if you notice these signs. Or, you can schedule a doctorâs visit and get a blood test done to determine the pregnancy.

    It’s Different For Everyone

Just as the symptoms of pregnancy vary from one person to the next, so can the frequency and duration of symptoms. As the days and weeks go by, what you experience will frequently change as your body changes. On some days, you might have cramping or frequent urination. On others, you might be constipated or have mood swings. There may be days when you feel no pregnancy symptoms at all.

There is no single definition of “normal” when discussing the presence, type, and severity of pregnancy symptoms.

How To Tell If Youre Pregnant Without A Test Fertile Phase Measurements

HOW TO KNOW IF YOU’RE PREGNANT WITHOUT A TEST | Early Signs and Symptoms !

During the process of pregnancy planning, the method of basal temperature measurements is recommended by professional gynecologists as one of the most credible and evident. After comparing the temperature measurements on different days of your menstrual cycle you will be able to draw a conclusion about a womans state of health and fertility. To understand how to tell if youre pregnant without a test using this means you should follow the subsequent recommendations. Prepare for taking basal temperature measurements in advance. If you dont observe a number of rules the results will be inaccurate.

    • In the evening before going to bed lay on the bedside table a watch, a thermometer, a notebook where youll write down the measurements, a pen. This is necessary so that you could measure your basal temperature immediately after waking up in the morning and before getting out of bed . The less movement you make after waking up the more exact will be the measurement.
    • Write down the day of your menstrual cycle when youve started to take basal temperature measurements. The results youre getting depend on which day it is, and in the case of deviation of the results from the standard, youll be able to tell whether youre pregnant or not.
    • Youd better abstain from drinking or eating fruit before going to sleep because you can miss your morning basal temperature measurement in order to go to the bathroom.

Don’t Miss: Does Donating Plasma Affect Fertility

Cramping And Spotting During Early Pregnancy

From weeks 1 to 4, everything is still happening on a cellular level. The fertilized egg creates a blastocyst that will develop into the fetuss organs and body parts.

About 10 to 14 days after conception, the blastocyst will implant in the endometrium, which is the lining of the uterus. This can cause implantation bleeding, which may be mistaken for a light period. It does not occur for everyone. If it does occur, it will usually happen around the time you expect your period.

Here are some signs of implantation bleeding:

    • Color. The color of each episode may be pink, red, or brown.
    • Bleeding. Implantation bleeding is usually much less than your usual period. Its often described as light bleeding that never turns into a flow or enough to need a tampon.
    • Pain. Pain is usually milder than your usual menstrual pain. It may involve some cramping. It can be moderate or severe, but its most often mild.
    • Episodes. Implantation bleeding is likely to last less than 3 days and does not require treatment. It can sometimes last only a few hours.
