ONE FALLOPIAN TUBE PREGNANCY | GET PREGNANT FASTER

Shannas remaining fallopian tube provided her and her husband, Gerard, a good chance of conceiving naturally. Some time after her tubal torsion experience, when Shanna had finished her residency, they tried again and Shanna was soon pregnant. But there was a problem.

I kind of knew from the beginning that something was wrong, and that I might have had an ectopic pregnancy, says Shanna.

In an ectopic pregnancy, rather than the embryo implanting in the uterus, it implants outside the uterus, most often in the fallopian tube, which is what had happened to Shannas embryo. An ectopic pregnancy cannot be carried to term and is a life-threatening situation to the mother, because the embryo grows and ruptures the fallopian tube.

How to recognize an ectopic pregnancy

My OB/GYN decided to treat me medically, with methotrexate, a medication to help my body process the ectopic pregnancy. My doctor cleared me to do whatever I wanted to do. A couple of weeks later, I was at my moms house, about to hop on a plane and go to Hawaii, Shanna says. But the ectopic ruptured, and I almost died.

Shanna went to the ER, again in great pain, with severe internal bleeding. The team performed emergency surgery to stop the bleeding and save her life.

Within a year after her ectopic pregnancy, she had finished one round of retrieving and freezing her eggs. A few months later, she and Gerard completed a frozen embryo cycle. Unfortunately, the cycle wasnt successful.

Record Menstrual Cycle Frequency

A woman who wants to have a baby should monitor whether the first days of her periods tend to occur the same number of days apart every month, which is considered regular. Conversely, her periods may be irregular, meaning her cycle lengths vary from month to month. By tracking this information on a calendar, a woman can better predict when she might be ovulating, which is the time every month when her ovaries will release an egg. There are also some apps that can help with the tracking, such as GlowOvulation period tracker .

A womans egg is fertile for only 12 to 24 hours after its release, according to the American Pregnancy Association. However, a mans sperm can survive in a womans body for up to five days.

Nutritional Changes To Clear Fallopian Tubes

Avoid dairy. Dairy products are the single largest source of dietary estrogen for humans. Researchers estimate that 60-70% of our food-sourced estrogen comes from milk, yogurt, ice cream, cheese, and other dairy products. Excess estrogen can worsen fibroids and endometriosis. In addition, dairy can increase mucus production in the fallopian tubes, causing blockages.

Dairy is often consumed for its calcium and protein content. Rather, opt for dark, leafy green vegetables as superior sources of bioavailable calcium. Other protein sources such as grass-fed meat, pasture-raised eggs, and fatty fish are much more nutrient-dense without having the harmful side effects of dairy products.

Avoid sugar and gluten. These are highly inflammatory foods that should be avoided regardless of the cause of blocked fallopian tubes. If your immune system is constantly irritated from these foods, your reproductive system will not have the resources to heal itself. More specifically, endometriosis and fibroids are aggravated with these foods.

Sugar substitutes that dont affect blood sugar levels should be used preferentially as needed when trying to get pregnant. These alternatives include stevia, monkfruit extract, erythritol, and xylitol. However, its important to decrease your dependence on eating sweets so use sweeteners minimally to retrain your taste buds.

Increase anti-inflammatory foods. Foods like avocados and fatty fish support your bodys ability to fight inflammation.

How Does Pregnancy Happen

In some cases, the blockage may occur that will prevent the egg from traveling down the tube. Blocked fallopian tubes are the cause of infertility in 30-40% of infertile women.

Different Types of Tubal Blockage

Two types of blockage can happen. In some cases only one fallopian tube gets blocked, women can still get pregnant because an egg can still travel through the normal fallopian tube. Note: If both tubes are completely blocked, fertility without treatment wont be possible.

How to Detect Blocked Fallopian Tubes?

Usually, women with blocked tubes do not experience any symptom. Blocked fallopian tubes can be diagnosed by:

  • Hysterosalpingogram a special type of x-ray taken after inserting dye into your uterus (details in the previous blog, read here.

Hysterosalpingogram Film

  • Laparoscopy

Dye Test on Laparoscopy

Sometimes on Hysterosalpingogram, the dye does not go past the uterus and into the tube, and the blockage appears to be right where the fallopian tube and the uterus meet. If this happens then a diagnostic laparoscopy may be needed to confirm.

What Are The Limitations With A Tubal Patency Test

Unfortunately, tubal patency tests cannot provide complete peace of mind. Even if a tubal patency test shows an open Fallopian tube, it does not show whether it will work â only a normally located pregnancy can show that at least one Fallopian tube worked.

The test is not 100% accurate as the Fallopian tubes can go into spasm during the test and can appear blocked even though this is not the case. This can cause unnecessary anxiety if the Fallopian tube is affected by spasm but in face is actually working normally.

The test cannot determine what the internal villi of the Fallopian tube look like.

The tubal patency test can be painful, so analgesics may be administered before and/or after the procedure to reduce pain. Many doctors will also prescribe an antibiotic prior to the procedure to reduce the small risk of an infection. Medical professionals prescribe the antibiotics taking the viewpoint that prevention is better than cure and it is better to prevent an infection in your Fallopian tubes rather than cure it.

There is a 1% chance of getting an infection from a tubal patency test and, of that 1% chance of infection, only 20% of the 1% who get an infection would need hospitalisation. This means that there is a 99.8% chance of not causing damage to a Fallopian tube and a 0.2% chance of damage.

What Could Damage My Fallopian Tubes

Infections or surgery in the abdomen or pelvis can cause blockage of tubes by forming adhesions . These adhesions can be between the end of the tube and the ovary, inside the tube, or completely block the tubes. Two common sexually transmitted infections that can damage tubes are chlamydia and gonorrhea. Occasionally, non-STI infections can cause tubal damage. For instance, tuberculosis can cause tubal disease . Tubal damage can also be caused by the rupture of the appendix. Any surgery in the abdomen or pelvis can also cause scar tissue, including common surgeries like removing fibroids or operations for ovarian cysts.

Endometriosis is a common gynecologic condition that can be associated with damage to your tubes. Women who have pelvic pain, pain during sex or painful periods, and are also having trouble getting pregnant may be at risk of endometriosis.

My Home Pregnancy Test Was Negative To Begin With But Now Seems To Be Positive What Should I Do

Home pregnancy tests must be read within the time frame specified in the individual instructions on each pack. These times vary a little but any result which appears after 10 minutes cannot be relied upon to be an accurate result. It is not unheard of for people to do a test which is negative, leave it on the bathroom window sill until sometime later, and then when they look at it again a new line has appeared in the test window. This is invariably an evaporation line and not a positive result.

To get an accurate result, it is essential you follow the instructions on the Home Pregnancy Test pack. You should preferably test with the first urine of the day and in urine which has been in your bladder for at least four hours. Finally, you should always read the test result within the time frame clearly stated on the test packâs instructions.

Here Are A Few Ways To Get Pregnant With Blocked Tubes

1.Laparoscopic Surgery for blocked fallopian tubes: In some cases, infertility can only be diagnosed through this type of surgery.

Laparoscopic surgery can in some cases open the blocked tubes, remove the scar tissue and allow you to get pregnant naturally or with the help of treatment, however, the procedure does not work in 100% of the cases as other factors are at play including your age, the location, and cause of the blockage.

If just a few adhesions are present between the tubes and ovaries, then your chances of getting pregnant after surgery are good. The risk of ectopic pregnancy is higher after surgery to treat tubal blockage.

2. Tubal Ligation Reversal: Many times women get tubal ligation done as a permanent method of contraception but due to certain reasons need to restore their fertility.

During the procedure, the blocked segments of the tubes are reconnected. The chances of success are greater if a large portion of healthy fallopian tubes is remaining.

3. IVF for blocked fallopian tubes: IVF makes getting pregnant possible if repair surgery did not work or in some cases where tubal surgery is not an option .

Location Of Fallopian Tube Blockages

How to get pregnant fast :Just know your exact ovulation ...

Medical research refers to four different locations for blocked fallopian tubes.

  • Proximal Tubal Blockage
  • Fimbria Complications
  • Distal Tubal Obstruction

Proximal tubal blockage: takes place within isthmus after infection originated from childbirth complications, pelvic inflammatory disease , miscarriage, abortion and regular usage of birth control drugs.

Midsegment tubal block: takes place in result of tubal ligation injury. It happens when women try to prevent pregnancy forever through surgical procedure namely tubal ligation. Sometimes women want to get pregnant after preventing pregnancy for years and they take risk of removing tubal ligation. Such life-threatening steps damage tissues and cause midsegment tubal blockage.

Fimbria complications: damage fimbriae and prevent egg releasing from ovary to fallopian tubes.

Distal tubal obstruction: affects the end section of fallopian tubes. It takes place in result of sexually transmitted Chlamydia trachomatis septicity. This infection causes fallopian tube shrinking and pelvic pain.

Whatever part of fallopian tubes gets damaged, it affects fertility. Women suffering from PID, uterine fibroids, abdominal surgery or ectopic pregnancy are easy prey of blocked fallopian tubes and sometimes when uterine fibroids are large they can compress on the fallopian tube causing blockage and preventing egg fertilized by sperm.

Got Pregnant With Fallocure Blocked Fallopian Tubes Kit Despite Having Only One Fallopian Tube

My problem actually started when I had an ectopic pregnancy which resulted in the loss of one of my fallopian tube. After I recovered, I looked forward to getting pregnant again since the doctor said, the other tube is alright.

Months turned into years and nothing happened. I went back to hospital to find out what was wrong and my doctor carried out some test on me, then the doctor dropped the bombshell, âsorry you have fallopian tube blockage and you cannot get pregnant â, except you open it surgically or go for IVF treatment. I almost passed out.

Out of desperation to conceive, I agree to surgically unblocked my tubes but I was completely devastated after two surgical procedures, I did not get pregnant and repeating the HSG again was very painful but I was keen on knowing why I wasnât getting pregnant, I repeated the HSG test, the result reveal that my only fallopian tube is still blocked after opening it surgically twice. I lost all hope trying the same procedure, which the blockage would reoccur again.

We were looking into raising money for IVF when I read about FalloCure Blocked Fallopian Tubes Kit on internet. What Are The Risks Of Tubal Surgery

The biggest risk after tubal surgery is the possibility of a tubal pregnancy, also known as an ectopic pregnancy . Ectopic pregnancy can be very dangerous to the mother. It is important for women with tubal disease/blocked tubes or women who have had tubal surgery to see a healthcare provider as soon as they think they are pregnant or have missed their period in order to be evaluated and treated for an ectopic pregnancy before it causes serious complications. Irregular vaginal bleeding and lower abdominal pain are common symptoms associated with tubal pregnancy, particularly at later stages. If left untreated, tubal pregnancies can burst and cause internal bleeding, and even cause the death of the mother.

Other risks related to surgery for blocked tube/s are the same as with any surgery and include the possibility of bleeding damage to other organs such as blood vessels, your bladder and bowel development of new scar tissue a reaction to the anesthesia or a need for blood transfusion.

You should discuss with your healthcare provider whether surgery or other treatment, such as IVF, is better for you based on your situation.
